News headlines for Colorado over the last 6 months: “Colorado Burning” and now “Colorado Flooding”
What the hell did Colorado do to piss off Mother Nature?! Seriously. I hope my fellow Coloradans are staying safe!
lol… this is almost funny, in an ironic sort of way.
peachdoxie replied to your post: The Guardian just tweeted…
Uh oh. I hope everything goes back to normal soon with as little damage as possible.
aye, it is very “uh oh.” Luckily, my family/area hasn’t been hard hit and I might be able to go to church tomorrow but I dunno, since in this area the rain has tended to start very gently at night and then just rain rain rain all day, and there’s the fact that there’s a flash flood watch for this area till sunday, just so that people can stay alert in case any more rain does come and overflows the creeks nearby… at this point it’s hard to know.
but then again, this is colorado. we’re known more for fires and snow, not unprecedented rain that just going on and on since the beginning of last week.
It’s not so much that the rain has been hard, it’s just that there’s been so MUCH of it and the soil of our state is unused to that.
The Guardian just tweeted about Colorado’s flooding situation: https://twitter.com/guardian/status/379077009759944704
I knew it wouldn’t be long before the UK decided to report on our situation here.
Oh, and the flood watch/warning for my area in Frederick has been extended till
Sunday Wednesday, and more rain might be coming tonight. JUST DON’T GET MY FLOOR WET AGAIN RAIN
